web•TrainSim has added more traffic for the last half hour or so of the activity so it's now ready to you to try.

Drive the IC (RE1) service, the Nordrhein Westfalen Express, from Dortmund to Koln. Note that the IC service differs from the normal RE1 service in that some normal RE1 stops are omitted from the IC service. Due to the pressure on DB Bahn to provide an extra 4,000 paths during the World Cup, you'll be diverted off the normal fast tracks at certain locations (in other words, expect several 40 km/hr sections, so watch for yellows).

web•TrainSim noted down the following arrival times on his latest driver-familiarisation run: Bochum 1752, Essen 1807, Duisberg 1826, Dusseldorf 1849, Koln 1923.

You might want to note down these kilometre posts where you'll be crossing from the fast to slow tracks or vice versa: after Dortmund: 109, 101; Essen 84, 82; 69; after Duisberg: 47; 43; after Dusseldorf: 36, 34.

On an earlier trial run, departing Dortmund Hbf in control of BR 101 030 (driver consist subsequently replaced by BR 146 ME and double-deckers when MSTS misbehaved).

There's a text (TXT) file included in the zip which lists all the rolling stock used in this activity so browse it to check you've got everything installed.
