Departing Dortmund on a rainy, dreary day (although the weather in the uploaded version could be more pleasant!).

S2 midday service, Dortmund to Duisberg via Wanne-Eickel, Gelsenkirchen and Oberhausen. Note at Herne our train has to move across to the far right to share the fast track to get into Herne platform 1. Then a little further on, we take our own slow track with all the fasts on the centre two tracks. Here are web•TrainSim's timings: DO-Mengedge 1235, Castrop-Rauxel 1240, Herne 1252, Wanne-Eickel 1303, Gelsenkirchen 1309, E-Katernberg Sued 1314, E-Altenessen 1318, Oberhausen 1332, Duisberg 1343. Umm, it seems to take a fairly long while to get from Herne to Wanne-Eickel...
