- Hbf, an abbreviation for Hauptbahnhof, meaning main railway station so Dusseldorf Hbf and Duisberg Hbf are the Dusseldorf and Duisberg main stations respectively.
- Tonhalle - concert hall
- Flughafen - airport
- Kittelback - literally Kittel creek
- Kalkumer is one of Dusseldorf's well-known castles. Close by is the Florence Nightingale Hospital.
- Muhlenacker is mill, and the buildings indicate that fact
- Neuer Friedhof is New Cemetry
- Teich literally translates at pond. Froschenteick is two stops before St. Anna Hospital.
